The estate and exclusive use
Is The Hidden Oak exclusive use?
Yes. All weddings and events have full exclusive use of the venue and grounds, so the estate is yours and yours alone for the day.
How many guests can the venue hold?
We can cater for a range of guest numbers, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations. Our capacity is 110 day guests and 150 evening guests.
How big is the estate?
The Hidden Oak sits in over 200 acres of private grounds, including woodland we planted ourselves, landscaped gardens and a lake.
Ceremonies and catering
Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?
Yes. We are fully licensed for on-site ceremonies, with a number of outdoor locations to choose from and an indoor option too.
Do you offer in-house catering?
Yes. All catering is included in your package, so you do not need to find external suppliers. It also means we can host a tasting evening beforehand, so you can try the options before you choose.
Can we hold a twilight wedding, and is there a late licence?
Yes to both. We host twilight weddings for couples who prefer a later start, and our late licence means the celebration can carry on after dark.
Staying and the day itself
Do you have on-site accommodation?
Yes. The farmhouse on site has nine en-suite bedrooms, which can sleep 21 guests, with pop-up beds available on request.
Can we get ready on site?
Yes. There is a bright dressing room in the farmhouse, and your party can stay the night before, so the morning is calm and unhurried.
Are dogs and pets welcome?
Yes. We are a pet-friendly venue, so your dog is welcome to be part of the day. Just let us know in advance so we can plan for them.
